I already have a (new) battery plugin that uses hal for monitoring the
battery status. It shows the status in an icon like gpm. It works fine
here, but I when other users tested it, it was no always capable of
showing their batteries. I've fixed that and it _should_ work now, but
never had the time to finish it (settings dialog is what's missing atm
and it needs some more testing with multiple batteries, although that
works fine here).

I think I'm going to finish it in the near feature to replace the
current battery plugin because that one gives me more problems than
any good, so maybe we can integrate some pm-utils/suspend stuff in it,
but only if it work for everyone without too much work.
