For GTK apps, try setting the environment variable GTK_CSD=1 prior to<br>
launch the app (also please note that xfce4-terminal is a bit special<br>
as it uses a server and opens new windows using DBus, meaning that you<br>
need to set GTK_CSD=1 prior to run any xfce4-terminal).<br>
<br>
If you're really sure about that, you can also set GTK_CSD to 1 in a<br>
env script in /etc/profile.d/<br>
<br>
For Firefox, right-click on the menu bar at the top, select customize,<br>
and unset the "title bar" option (toward the bottom of the dialog).<br>
