Notes plugin no longer opens http link

The notes plugin

no longer opens http links when clicking on them. I remember that I couple
of months ago when clicking on an http link the browser would be opened. At
some point this stopped working.

Where would one need to make changes to allow automatically opening http
links when clicking on them in notes?
