xfwm4: assisted tiling feature

Hi everyone!

a few weeks ago I made the suggestion to consider a feature like
'assisted tiling' for xfwm4:

In the meantime I did some work to implement the features presented in
the demo script in xfwm4. Now I have a patch set that works well enough
for my daily work, yet is far away from being ready-to-merge.

Any suggestions on how to proceed to get some feedback and baybe even
some discussion? Should I apply for write access on gitlab.xfce.org?
