system turns suddenly off with current master

After upgrading from git master around 2021-01-23 to git master around 2021-01-30, I found my system to be turned off after a while.
It seems something triggered a suspend-to-ram, without my consensus. There was an update to systemd, and whatever was done in in the master branches. The systemd changes all look unrelated to power management.
One suspicious change is 2cd95bfa..3e045d08 xfce4-power-manager.git, but it is not clear to me why this would make a difference. What is this change supposed to do, and would it trigger an unexpected suspend-to-ram with an existing user configuration?
