Is gtk-doc a required dependency?

Hi everyone.
I'm building the packages for Crux distro and while installing xfwm4 it trigger an error that the gtk-doc package is required but the package is passing the configure option of dissable the gtk-docs to build, and I think that passing that arguments if is the gtk-docs required with that options will be disable that requirements.
Also in the documentation[1] gtk-docs is not expressed as a dependency of any file.
