Infrastructure Upgrades/Changes: Git(ea)

Hi,

to keep it short and simple: being (dependant) on a 3rd party platform that
can change (e.g. its TOS) anytime in all kinds of ways may be acceptable to
individuals, but for a FOSS project it's not exactly desirable.
