Alt + F4 open multiple windows when pressed

To what value is "key repeat delay" set in your keyboard settings? I
just set mine down to 10 to check if I can reproduce your issue - and
yes, if the delay is to small you automatically open multiple windows. A
delay of 500 works fine for me.
