I'm just replying to that with my debian hat. I'm still drafting a post
about that, but my guess is that it'll be pretty hard.
4.10 final is planned on 28th, while the Wheezy freeze is supposed to
happen somewhere in may/june. And that means Xfce 4.10 would need to
migrate *before* that, and that we have good assurance that it's stable
enough.
The latter part doesn't scare me too much (unless some huge issues are
found), but the former does. We have a somehow huge transition to make,
with the API/ABI change in libxfce4util (and the current breakage of all
external panel plugins linked with libxfcegui4). We need to plan it
carefully on our side, then submit our plans to the release team. And as
the release team already has quite some already planned transitions, I'm
not sure this one can happen before the freeze.
