Priority bugs for 4.10

I've had 4.10pre1 up and running for a couple of days now, and must
give me compliments yet again to the devs, very nice work!

There are two bugs which I view as priority, both dealing with
xfce4-session -- it seems it is still not shutting down xfce
gracefully in all cases.

1) If I run xfce off of an ext2 partition, and select 'restart' or
'shut down' from the logout menu, then XFCE quits, but the system
drops back to the login manager (in my case, LXDM), hangs there for
about 10 seconds, and then proceeds to shut down. Other users have
reported that their system hangs indefinitely at the login manager
display, and they have to manually halt the system with the power
button or the LXDM shut down menu. This does not occur on ext4 or XFS
partitions, and I can't figure out why that is the case... I was able
to improve this problem by applying the patch here:
https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7887 however, it did not
work for the other user who was having this trouble, and that patch
also broke xfce4-session's ability to save sessions on shut down and
reboot (still worked on logout, however).

2) If I logout, shut down, or reboot from the xfce logout menu while I
have the application 'medit' running, xfce will delay logging out for
30 seconds; clicking the logout button again will give an error that
it cannot connect to the running session, and on the next login xfwm
will fail to load, so I must log back out and delete
~/.cache/sessions. I'm dropping medit in favor of geany (which does
not seem to mess with xfce logging out) for upcoming releases, so this
is less of a priority for me; however, given the number of bug reports
with similar symptoms and no apparent cause, I thought it would be
useful to mention that I was at least able to narrow my issue to a
single application.

Both of these bugs were present for me in 4.8 as well. Please let me
know if you require any additional information and I'll gladly provide
it. I really appreciate all the time you've put into this release,
XFCE is getting better and better all the time!
