Should be fixed in exo's master. After fighting with it for the entire
night and day and filing a bug against GDK [1], I finally managed to
fix it. The fix has a small downside but I'm not too concerned about
it. It's still open whether there will be a fix in GDK for this, in
which case we can revert this change.
