future plans for xfconf ?

Hi all,

I found this interesting discussion about xfconf and gconf.

I was wondering if there were some common plans between
Gnome and XFCE members.

There's currently some migration plans to GIO in LXDE and
XFCE, which is a good idea IMO, so I was wondering if a config
tool will become a "standard" as well in GTK based desktops...
