xfce4-mixer not working on FreeBSD

Hi,

the 4.6 mixer is not working on FreeBSD.

When starting it up, it shows a messagebox saying:


Gstreamer was unable to detect any sound devices.
Some sound system specific GStreamer packages
may be missing. It may also be a permissions problem.

                                         [X Close]

So - what could be missing here?
