Apart from that libxfce4menu doesn't really implement long-time caching
at the moment, this should not lead to the messages you've posted
before.

If that warning from xfdeskop is the first warning xfdesktop ever
prints, could you try to run

  G_DEBUG=fatal_warnings gdb xfdesktop

and when it stops, enter "bt" and post that backtrace here on the list?
