I had another idea: I created tables for attendees and rooms on the wiki
page for the 2009 events:

  http://wiki.xfce.org/events/2009

This way we can organize ourselves without a meeting. Just enter your
information if you're 100% going and discuss the room situation with
others. I noticed there are a lot of triple rooms as well, so booking
rooms in groups of 2-3 people probably makes most sense.
