With the risk of being slightly off topic I have to ask: Diego, can
this code be extended to allow for arbitrary window positioning,
instead of only popup ?

I'm writing almost the same positioning code to a plugin I'm writing
for learning Panel Plugins, but I imagine I wouldn't be the only
needing that sort of thing.

I'm guessing stuff like the SLAB menu on Gnome would have to be
implemented as a generic window, instead of a simple menu and it would
probably be positioned the same way.

What do you say about that ? Is it possible ? Is it too much work ?
