Hi all,
This is to inform officially my intention to get rid of the Netk* stuff
in Xfce 4.6 [1]
All new code should avoid Netk* and older code will be ported to libwnck.
Historically, the Netk* functions were forked from the libwnck back in
the old days were libwnck API was not stable.
Nowadays, there is no reason to keep doing this, so let's get rid of it.
This duplication of code is a waste of time for us.
I volunteered for the job, but all help is more than welcome [2]. I
expect the amount of work to be fairly reasonable though.
Cheers,
Olivier.
[1] The original idea and proposal came from Vincent Untz, who is the
current maintainer of libwnck.
[2] Just le me know, so we don't end up doing the same work twice...
