Very close. Some important features are still missing, though:
* proper legacy menu support (already started working on this)
* OnlyShowIn/NotShowIn
* menu layout / merge-file support
* file system monitoring
This means it's already possible to build a complete menu, but it
doesn't contain legacy menus, includes menu items of other desktop
environments and is not reloaded when any of the displayed menu items
(= desktop files) are added/edited/removed.
You can see the resulting menu when you run "make check" in
libfrap/trunk/libfrap/menu or when you start
./tests/test-display-root-menu <.menu file> in that directory.
BTW, such a plugin is likely to be added soon to libfrap as it's really
very easy with the comfortable API we already have.
