No, there's nothing wrong with xfdesktop (I suppose). The problem is, I
can't fully grasp the code flow of some parts of xfce4-session, so -
just to check whether starting all xfce processes simultaneously would
yield in any speed-up - I made this silly hack (attached), which, as a
side-effect, results in xfdesktop not being loaded every time. 

I plan to read the whole SMlib and ICElib documentation tommorow, and
hope that will clear some things up for me... However, if there's
anyone who would like to point me in right direction on how to perform
this task, I'd gladly accept any advice.
