Bugzilla cleanup request

Hi

there are a quite a few bugs reported which have either not received 
comments from the original reporters for a long time, or even though 
they are fixed according to comments are still marked as NEW. Still 
others are ASSIGNED while they are clearly fixed, etc.

It would help if maintainers of each component would close the bugzilla 
entries they have committed a fix for; there is too much noise otherwise
when reporting new bugs or when looking for random things to fix.
