Well, I still think the problem is not in xfwm4 because the error is
caused by a XUnlockDisplay() not being preceded by a XLockDisplay().

These functions are for multi-threading support, but xfwm4 is not
multi-thread and doesn't make use of these functions. So I guess the
problem is rather with one of the various libs xfwm4 uses (X, gk+,
pango, etc.).

It's all I can tell without a backtrace ;)
