Ah, sorry, should have read your mail completely... ;-)

Looks like xsltproc is unable to locate the required stylesheet via the
catalogs. The way the distros handle the catalogs is very specific,
there was a solution for gentoo posted here some time ago, maybe
searching the archives for the gentoo solution might help for Arch too.
Otherwise, ask the Arch people.
