Not really, unfortunately.  The menu stuff needs to be totally redone.
Benny has a pretty good implementation of a mostly fd.o-compliant menu
in his os-cillation version of xfdesktop, so you might want to start
there.  If you can get it working on the mainline xfdesktop, I'd be
interested in patches.  I don't think I feel good about making this
change for 4.4 though.
