Hi devs,
There's a somewhat-vague suggestion on gtk-devel-list about making gtk
depend on gconf for things like default URL handlers:
http://mail.gnome.org/archives/gtk-devel-list/2006-January/msg00232.html
While it's by no means a firm direction planned, it would be nice to put
in a polite reply in opposition. I like GTK, but it seems like it would
start getting unsuitable for Xfce if it were to depend on things like gconf.
Users: please don't spam gtk-devel-list unless you have a valid
development-related concern. Random "don't do this! I hate bloat!"
messages will not help matters.
