This is unrelated to Gamin. I just committed HAL support for thunar and
seems that although hal-storage is properly detected, your system lacks
libhal-storage.h (most probably broken package) or your libhal-storage.h
is not what it should be, although your version is 0.5.6.

Do you get any more errors, i.e. about missing libhal-storage.h? If not,
check your HAL installation. If that doesn't work, send the
libhal-storage.h and libhal.h files and I'll have a look at them.
