The Terminal icons are app-specific icons (except for the browser and
mailer icons) not desktop-wide icons, that should be included in the
naming spec.

Way more important are preferences-desktop-default-applications,
system-user and system-group, as they are system/desktop-wide icons that
should be consistent among different desktops.
