Introducing Squeeze (Xarchiver-psybsd)

Hi all,

As some of you might already know, Giuseppe has asked me to fork the
xarchiver-psybsd because it has changed too much of the original to
make a future merge possible.

The name chosen for this fork is Squeeze (thanks to Sofar), which has
two components, the app and a lib (libsqueeze).

Squeeze is being designed to integrate smoothly with the Xfce Desktop
Environment, this means that it can rely on libxfce4util and
thunar-vfs for settings-management and MIME-Type support.

LibSqueeze is a library which handles all the archiving issues for Squeeze.

Note:
At this moment Squeeze is not yet ready for every-day use, there are
still some bugs remaining.
 - Working on making a multi-threaded GUI to make it pass the torture-tests
 - Fixing the 'Add' Dialog
 - Fixing the 'Preferences' Dialog

And before any release is made:
 - Add some more support-objects to libsqueeze
(at least for *BSD tar, and perhaps even libarchive)

Because Xarchiver and Squeeze have grown to become two entirely
different applications i would like that Squeeze is moved to it's own
svn-folder instead of xarchiver/branches.

Regards,

Stephan

P.S.
Squeeze is by no means an attempt to replace Xarchiver,
it is just the result of two developers having a different opinion on
archiver-design.
