first of all i would present some issues i found .. that i think
should be solved:

*xfprint | xfce-printer*
it seems they are same icon the spec wants this:
<icon name="printer">
i used :
<link>xfce-printer</link>

Q) could u choose one of those names?

*xfce-system-settings | xfce4-settings*

same as xfce-printer

*xfce4-mixer*

this icon is used in "xfce-settings-show" for sound within the spec there are:

<icon name="multimedia-volume-control">
  <link>gnome-mixer</link>

and:

<icon name="preferences-desktop-sound">
  <link>gnome-settings-sound</link>

i guess "preferences-desktop-sound" could be better on that panel and
so it could be introduced an icon as:

xfce-settings-sound

that in rodent could be same icon as xfce-mixer but on other themes
this may change.

*xfce-schedule*

maybe an icon called:

xfce-office

could be better, that in Rodent could be same icon as xfce-schedule
but on other themes may change :)

*XFCE-SETTINGS-SHOW*

and here the main problem :(.

this is not themeable, would it be possible to allow to use other
theme then Rodent, it seems it serach just on hicolor .. and even if
in hicolor those icon are missing it has its own icon anyway.

Using that tarball (Tango-xfce.tar.gz) the menu icons are ok .. but
the panel uses still its own.

Once i've figured out all this i guess i can submit it :).

Summary:

new icons that need to be added in Rodent and fixed on desktop files:

 - xfce-office (link or same as xfce-schedule)
 - xfce-settings-sound (link or same as xfce-mixer)

icon that can be removed and fixed on desktop files:

 - xfprint (it exists already xfce-print)
 - xfce4-settings (it exists already xfce-system-settings)

the panel should look like this when that theme has been selected:

ciao

df

PS: there are some artists from tango that are working on xfce icons
.. when they'll be over i'll send you the tarball.
