Fail to build xfwm4 with compositor support

Hi!

I want to build the xfwm4 (current trunk) with compositor support on
Debian Etch.

I run
    $ ./autogen.sh --enable-compositor 
and get the following output:
    ...
    Build Configuration for xfwm4 version 4.3.90.1 revision 20960:
      Startup notification support:                 yes
      Render support:                               yes
      Xrandr support:                               yes
      Embedded compositor:                          no

(the whole output is attached)

I have libxcomposite (and libxcomposite-dev) 6.9.0 installed.
