Porting panel plugins for 4.4

after not coming up with the config file, i looked intor
xsession-errors...

(xfce4-panel:25653): Gdk-WARNING **: gdkdrawable-x11.c:971 drawable is
not a pixmap or window
/usr/local/libexec/xfce4/panel-plugins/xfce4-netload-plugin: error while
loading shared libraries: libxfce4panel.so.1: cannot open shared object
file: No such file or directory

so hmm, did the panel not install the library correctly? i
have /usr/local/lib/libxfce4panel.so.1.0.1,
but /usr/local/libexec/xfce4/panel-plugins/xfce4-netload-plugin.

linking to libxfce4panel from /usr/local/libexec did not the job.
