Hey Jasper, Just checked the panels .desktop files and realized they're missing two required keys: "Encoding" and "Type". For "Type", I'd suggest to use "X-XFCE-Panel-Plugin". This way the .desktop files won't be picked up by file managers and menu systems. And the "External" key needs namespacing, e.g. "X-XFCE-External". HTH, Benedikt
