Some News live from 4.2.2 [WAS Re: Anyone for a new stable release?]

Hi all

Ok, some news from the release. 

As expected (or feared), it's not really a smooth one (we moved to SVN
since last released, we removed the generated files and changed the way
to generate packages, etc.)

*But* it's on its way, now uploading to the site. If someone reads that
and feels like announcing anything now, please refrain, *we* (the devel
team) shall announce it once ready, not before.
