Will Thunar be able to complete directories/filenames (nearly 
automatically) when you enter
them in the input field? In the shell (bash, sh, ...) this usually works 
by typing <TAB>. This
would be a great help as entering and searching a directory/file was 
much faster, then.

Alternatively, providing an autocompletion feature like it is used in 
most common webbrowsers
would be great Example: When you enter the first letters of a website 
you normally get the part
of the history which matches your input in a dropdown list. A history in 
this case is not needed
but displaying all direct parent "children" would be great.

In most cases I prefer shell-like browsing combined with a filesystem 
tree, like
http://thunar.xfce.org/wiki/media/ui/suggestion-20050320/tree_entry.png 
- but with a detailled list
with information instead if large icons.
