I've just noticed that native encoded (EUC-JP without ASCII in this
case) folder/file name'll be truncated on displaying wherever Xfce4-fm
concerned (except at the bottom status of Xfce4-fm and main Xffm) with
DBG: Invalid byte sequence in conversion input. Codeset for system is: (null)
DBG: You should set the environment variable SMB_CODESET to ISO-8859-1
Pango-WARNING **: Invalid UTF-8 string passed to... (so many)
I'm using the latest (4.3.0.42), is there any limitation concerned
with number of characters? I know some mounted file systems via samba
have limitation at naming but my root disk is mounted with xfs file
system, or rather if you'd think allowing long file name (requires 2-3
lines) will break your planned layout (I like this compacted layout),
is it possible replacing those extra characters by "..." or the like?
