Xfce file manager, Thunar and other non issues

Hi all,
A quick (because I can't do much for now) mail just to clarify things.
I already expressed my views on the need for a new file manager. It happens that Benny had already started some work on this topic, so it's a great aopportunity for Xfce to use Benny's preliminary work.
It also makes perfect sense that Benny leads that project. This being said, he is not alone, and many Xfce developpers and more are already sharing ideas on how should be that new file manager. That is exactly the right thing I was expecting.
As for the name, I'm really sure that it's pure coincidence that "Thunar" sounds like Lunar. Benny works for Os-cillation and he's not involved in Lunar as far as I know. Thunar doesn't contain "xf", so what? That xf*everything name is rather annoying at times imho (does Nautilus contains "gnome"?)
In any case, there is nothing wrong with Lunar. Auke does a great job helping Xfce and we should be grateful that we can be hosted on the same servers until we can find our own (anyone whilling to donate a 1U rack server? Just let us know, we need one!)
There are a lot of people happy with Xffm as a file manager, and I'm not seeing Xffm going away as long as Edscott can work on it. Auke already proposed to make Xffm a separate project under the same umbrella as Xfce (just like it is already for "Thunar" and "Xfc" actually) and I was very positive with this idea.
I would be very happy if Edscott could join the Thunar discussion and share his views. It's an open discussion, but let's keep focused on what should be Xfce next file manager, simple to use, light on resources as far that doesn't compromise its usability and with a solid design.
Hope that makes things clear and keeps development in peace ;)
Cheers,
Olivier.
