Multiple versions of Xfce?

Hi all,

For the current 4.4 series would it be possible to run the older version 
of xfce parallely?

Ideally, I'd like to be able to install it under /opt/xfce4-cvs and test 
when I have the time.

The rest of the time, I'd like to run 4.2-STABLE from prefix=/usr

doable?
