glib/gtk minimum required versions

Yes, that's correct, but IIRC, several voices raised against targeting 
2.4 and the fact is now quite a few packages won't build on gtk < 2.6. I 
had to make the switch to be able to build SVN trunk.

If it's worth the effort, I can try to list the offending packages...
