Until now, it's still 2.4.

Jeff has voiced his strong support for 2.6, Olivier feels we can't 
afford to do that since much of our 'market' is in older distributions / 
enterprise distributions that can not be easily upgraded.

Personally, I would love to be able to depend on the named icon support 
in t GtkImage, but it's not vital. Other than that, it is mainly 
GtkIconView that might be interested, isn't it? And a few stock images, 
but that's also rather trivial.
