Hmm... I fixed the typo as you suggested but it's still a no-go:

At revision 16839.

* Building xfc...
make: *** No rule to make target `clean'. Stop.
* Build for module xfc failed.
Also, removing the word(s) clean and/or all from line 234 in the build
script (as Jannis suggested) were of no help
