This is related to an unresolved bug somewhere, though I can't seem to
find it.  It seems the linker on ubuntu (and elsewhere?) isn't exporting
the proper symbols from the xfdesktop binary, hence the problem.  I'm
not really sure what to do about it.  Though I suppose I could just not
use quit() and instead run the xfce4-session-logout binary from the menu
code.  That won't be installed if the session manager isn't installed,
and that'll break the quit menu item if it's installed but not running.
