xfrun4 slow response

Hi,
when launching xfrun4 (e.g. via Alt-F2) it normally takes quite a long
time to start up, sometimes as long or even longer than an xterm.
I presume it's loading the command history?
I don't know how others see it, but xfrun4 should IMHO be just a little
helper for quickly launching commands and therefore not use any
of the users time for starting up itselft, but (of course depending on
the system load) pop up almost instantaneously.
So could xfrun4 be configured (maybe a hidden option?) to not load or
produce a command history/cache at all (if that is the cause)?
Or might there by a way to speed it up? Or maybe there is something
wrong with my xfce4 configuration?
I'm using CVS version from 20041018.
Cheers, Nick.
