yes, i prefixed that to the cmd & it installed w apparent success.

 1  grumble: the little window reporting progress is excellent except
that it sticks to the current desktop: is this intentional ?  it is annoying.

i'm using an upto-date Gentoo system & the installer sb satisfied by it.
