xfce4-terminal fails to start from panel starter when logged in from xdm...

Hi!

I noticed another strange behaviour.
When i log in using xdm, the xfce4-terminal wont run from a panel
starter (no errors, no nothing). 

If i set the "start in terminal" option, both terminals come up fine. 
If i stop xdm, log in from console and use startx, everything also works
fine.

Using up-to-date gentoo.

Can anybody repeat that?
