What am I supposed to notice exactly with gnome panel?

Using gnome 2.6 in xinerama mode, if I move a non expanded panel, it
will stick to all corners and center of both screens, without being
bothered by the xftaskbar "virtual" space at the top of "screen 0".
I guess it's that.

Another thing is cool, and it's related to one of my previous
message. If I move a maximized window from screen 1 to screen 0 using
metacity:
   - if I approach the titlebar of the window near the top of the screen
(where a gnome panel sits) the window is automatically maximized
   - if I do not approach the titlebar near the top, the window size is
     kept.
Very very practical.

Cheers
François
