make distclean deosn't work in menu editor

Hi

Making distclean in menueditor
make[1]: Entering directory
`/home/ofourdan/src/HEAD/xfce4/xfdesktop/menueditor'make[1]: *** No rule
to make target `distclean'.  Stop.
make[1]: Leaving directory
`/home/ofourdan/src/HEAD/xfce4/xfdesktop/menueditor'
make: *** [distclean-recursive] Error 1

For some reason the Makefile gets removed before distclean enter the
dir.
