XFCalendar with reminder functionality?

Hi,

I really like the simplicity of XFCalendar and the fact that it's always  
there in the system tray. It being an "always on" application within XFce  
made me wonder why it doesn't have any reminder functionality (like a  
pop-up window when events occur)? That would make it perfect in my  
opinion. Am i missing something obvious, and/ or is reminder functionality  
on the roadmap for XFCalendar?
