Strange panel behavious

As a disclaimer, I haven't had a chance to dig through the source yet,
so take the following with a grain of salt.  Maybe it has something to
do with libdesktopmenu.so? (see #4).  That one pops up in all of your
BT's, and between #4 and #5, it looks like plugins are still trying to
be loaded (dying at libdesktopmenu.so).  Can you try uninstalling that
one and see what happens?
