Can you try new checkout and just "configure" again ?

Oliver updated the build scripts to a new version, maybe that helps :)

Oliver, just when I wanted to do it I see 460 or something commits in my
mailbox :) thanks ;) 
Updated my local automake,autoconf,gettext,libtool to the xfce versions
today, so if that helps it should work from now on.
