OK. That's done. I've removed the extra lines of code that are no longer
necessary at CVS xfce4-panel/panel/xfcombo.c, and from xffm and xfrun4.

And I'm off to apply the same fix to the mime-icons and
mime-applications module. I'll try to write up an API docs for them too,
and when I get it done, I'll post a copy to the list because I'll
probably forget all about it ;-)
