xfdesktop still dieing

I dunno if it's related (actually I think it's not related but that
should need fixing), but I get the following warnings when running
xfdesktop:

 
(xfdesktop:9706): GLib-CRITICAL **: file ghash.c: line 291
(g_hash_table_insert): assertion `hash_table != NULL' failed
 
(xfdesktop:9706): GLib-CRITICAL **: file ghash.c: line 554
(g_hash_table_foreach): assertion `hash_table != NULL' failed
